Well, it’s been a whirlwind couple of months for me. Let me start with the new writing gig for Empire Wrestling Federation. I had an idea to write show previews for Empire Wrestling Federation, where I trained for a few months. So, I went to a show about a month and a half ago and asked Jesse Hernandez about it. He said he would love to have me help with marketing in that way. So, he referred to me Cincinnatti Red, head booker of EWF, and Shawn Kloth, who runs the partner website, placewithfriends.com, formerly known as placetohavefunwithfriends.com.
Shawn and Red okayed my idea and I began writing my first show preview for Red Hot Summer 2009. Since then I have written three show previews for them and had the first two sent out in the newsletter and posted on both the EWF website and Place With Friends.
I am very grateful for this opportunity. Also, Shawn Kloth has asked me to interview Jesse Hernandez himself and I am currently formulating some tough, hard hitting questions to ask him. I also decided to leave my job after six months and am currently unemployed. I want to pursue something that utilizes my talents in writing.
I have applied at examiner.com as the LA Pro Wrestling Examiner. I really hope to get it, so I can expand my writing to cover topics not just with EWF, but in Southern California. There is a lot to cover when it comes to SoCal Independent wrestling and I want to be the voice that does so.
With more time on my hands, I hope to update this more often as things progress with my writing. I hope you will join me and contribute with your comments, thoughts, and ideas. Thanks.
